Overall Passenger Traffic

In 2008, over 3.1 million passengers passed through the airport, a decline of 12% on the previous year.  Terminal traffic was down 10% on 2007.

Passenger Traffic Breakdown

Within the important international segment, the largest market was Great Britain.  Over 1.1 million  passengers travelled on UK routes during 2008.  

The combination of Open Skies, worsening economic conditions on both sides of the Atlantic and the euro dollar exchange rate last summer resulted in a drop in transatlantic traffic of 23%.
