Aer Arann Makes a Comeback to Shannon
Shannon Airport is delighted to announce that Aer Arann, Ireland’s premier regional airline will resume operations between Shannon and Dublin by operating a late afternoon return service from 3rd July. This service will compliment the existing Aer Lingus services, which operate in the morning period. The daily service will depart Dublin at 16.00hrs arriving in Shannon at 16.50 hrs and will return to Dublin at 17.35hrs arriving in Dublin at 18.25hrs.
Commenting on the announcement Martin Moroney, Director of Shannon Airport
said,“ this is welcome news for Shannon Airport. In addition to offering daily
access to Dublin for business and leisure purposes, this service will also
provide the additional benefit of connections to various airline services
operating from Dublin Airport”. Mr. Moroney added that despite a period of
unprecedented growth of services over the last two years, a comprehensive
Shannon – Dublin service was still the most sought after route by the business
community in the region. He thanked Aer Arann for taking to decision to resume
operations from Shannon and called for the full support of the business
community to ensure that the service is to be retained into the future and to
hopefully see additional frequencies added. Furthermore, Mr. Moroney said he
would like to work with Aer Arann in developing additional short-haul routes out
of Shannon and he looked forward to creating a successful partnership with them
in the future.
The new service will operate Monday to Friday using a
50-seater ATR 42. For more information on schedules and fares visit www.aerarann.com or contact reservations on 0818 210
